Beef exports remain strong in the second half of March
Brazilian exports of fresh, chilled, or frozen beef continue at a high pace in the second half of March 2026. Data released by the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex) indicate growth in average daily revenue, volume shipped, and price per ton when compared to the performance recorded in March 2025.
In the first days of March, Brazil exported US$ 666.8 million in beef. In the same month last year, considering the entire period of March 2025, total revenue reached US$ 1.054 billion.
The average daily pace of foreign sales shows superior performance this year. The average revenue per working day reached US$ 66.68 million, while in March 2025 the average daily revenue was US$ 55.51 million.
Shipments show growth in daily pace
The volume exported also shows progress in the first weeks of the month. In the first days of March, Brazil shipped 115,678.5 tons of beef to the international market.
In March 2025, the total volume exported was 215,249.4 tons throughout the month. Despite the difference in the analyzed period, the daily average data indicate growth in the pace of exports.
The average daily shipments recorded so far in March are 11,567.9 tons. In the same reference period last year, the average daily volume was 11,328.9 tons.
Average price of beef shows appreciation
Another point that draws attention in the Secex data is the increase in the average price of exported beef. In the first days of March, the ton of protein was traded at an average value of US$ 5,765.
In the same month of 2025, the average price was US$ 4,900.4 per ton. The increase reinforces the appreciation of Brazilian beef in international trade.
This movement indicates that, in addition to maintaining a consistent pace of shipments, Brazilian beef continues to be traded at higher prices in the foreign market.
Comparison of daily averages confirms progress
The comparison between the consolidated data up to the first working days of March 2026 and the final result for March 2025 shows progress in different indicators.
The average daily revenue from exports showed an increase of approximately US$ 20.1 in the comparison between the periods analyzed. The average volume shipped also grew, with an increase of approximately 2.1 tons per day.
Furthermore, the average price per ton exported registered an increase of 17.6% in the comparison between the two periods.
