Brazil ships 12.5% more corn per day in August 2025 than in August 2024

Brazilian corn exports continue to exceed last year's figures for the same period through August. According to the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), the country shipped 4,960,155.3 tons of unground corn (except sweet corn) in the first 16 business days of the month, which corresponds to 81.8% of the volume exported in August 2024, which was 6,063,155.3 tons.

The daily average of shipments was 310,027.1 tons, an increase of 12.5% compared to the 275,598 tons per working day recorded last year.

In terms of revenue, Brazil has earned US$ 1.01 billion so far this month, compared to US$ 1.168 billion for the entire month of August 2024. The daily average rose 18.9%, from US$ 53.120 million to US$ 63.178 million per working day.

The average price paid per ton also jumped 5.7% in the period, from US$ 192.70 in August 2024 to US$ 203.80 so far in July 2025.
