Beef exports grow 25% in June and reach second best performance since 2025

Beef shipments in June had the second best performance of 2025, when 241.09 thousand tons were exported. According to information from the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), the volume was below the total exported in May of this year, which shipped 241.5 thousand tons. In the annual comparison, shipments increased by 25.27% compared to the amount exported in the same period of the previous year, which was 192.4 thousand tons. Regarding the daily average exported in June/25, it was 12 thousand tons and registered an increase of 25.3%, when compared to the average observed in June 2024, which was 9.622 thousand tons. Banco Itaú BBA reported that our shipments have been driven by the increase in Asian and United States demand. “China continues to be, by far, the main foreign destination for Brazilian beef, with almost half of Brazilian shipments, and we expect total imports from the Asian country not to decline. Even the possibility of a trade agreement between China and the US that could favor greater imports of American beef would be hindered by availability. Therefore, China tends to continue demanding significant volumes from Brazil,” it reported in its outlook report for 2025.

The average prices paid for beef were close to US$ 5,448.3 thousand per ton in June/25, which represents an annual gain of 22.00%, when compared to the values observed in June 2024, when they were priced at US$ 4,466.3 thousand per ton.

The value traded for beef in June was US$ 1,313,578.1 million, while in June of the previous year the total revenue was US$ 859,573.96 million.

The average daily revenue was US$ 65,678.9 million and registered a gain of 52.8%, compared to that observed in June of last year, which was US$ 42,978.7 million.
